L.A. Motorcycle Officer Hospitalized After Crash During Pursuit

A motorcycle officer with the Los Angeles Police Department was transported to a hospital after being reportedly hit by a car during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in North Hills, Los Angeles. The incident, which culminated in a crash, took place on Thursday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of the officer down in the area of Community Street and Noble Avenue at around 3:41 p.m. Aerial footage showed a significant police presence at the scene along with medical personnel who were seen placing the officer into an ambulance. The officer’s condition remains unknown at this time.

In a related incident just half a mile away at Kester Avenue and Parthenia Street, police apprehended a suspect involved in the pursuit following a two-vehicle crash. The vehicles involved were a silver sedan and a white SUV, though it is currently unclear which vehicle was part of the pursuit.
