A hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of an elderly man and injured another man occurred in the Crenshaw neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Thursday night. The search for the hit-and-run driver is currently ongoing.
The incident was reported around 9:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Santa Rosalia Drive. A witness driving down the street spotted the two victims lying in the roadway and immediately called for help.
Upon arrival, first responders rushed the victims to local hospitals. The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed that an 85-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim, a 40-year-old man, was listed in stable condition.
As of yet, there are no available descriptions of the suspect or the suspect vehicle. As authorities work tirelessly to apprehend the culprit, they urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
