In the early hours of Wednesday morning, two people were shot and killed in Oakland, according to the city’s Police Department. The fatal shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of 89th Avenue near D Street.
Upon arrival, police officers found two people with gunshot wounds. Despite the provision of medical aid, both victims died at the scene due to their injuries. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time, and the Oakland Police Department’s Homicide Section is actively investigating the incident.
