CHP Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying Injured Man Found on Freeway

On Friday, authorities found a seriously injured man lying on the 101 freeway in Ventura County and are now seeking help in identifying him.

Officers responded to a call around 11:05 p.m. about a man lying on the northbound shoulder near the Central Avenue overcrossing. Upon arrival, they found the man unresponsive with severe facial and leg injuries, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.

The unidentified man was taken to the hospital. He is described as possibly a Black male, aged between 15 to 25 years old. He was wearing a t-shirt with a unique graphic design, similar to a picture provided by the CHP. Furthermore, he has a tattoo on the top of his right hand that resembles the mouth of an animal, possibly a lion, with the word “Humbled” written underneath.

There were no suspects found at the scene. Authorities are calling for public assistance and have asked anyone who was in the area of US-101 and Central Avenue near the time of 11:00 p.m. on July 21, 2023, and may have seen anything unusual or suspicious, including any vehicles stopped in the area, to come forward.
