A one-alarm fire broke out on the Embarcadero at Pier 28 early Tuesday morning, according to the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD). Fire crews responded to the scene by land and sea around 3:14 a.m., with SFFD’s Fire Boat 3 seen dousing the dock with water.
Footage from the scene showed fire crews using a powered saw to cut through debris at the pier. By 5 a.m., the fire was contained. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, and no one was displaced. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the SFFD.
As personal injury bloggers, we often discuss the importance of immediate and effective response in mitigating potential damage or injury in such incidents. This swift response from the SFFD is commendable and underscores the critical role of fire departments in ensuring public safety. We hope this incident serves as a reminder for all to follow safety protocols to prevent similar incidents.
