Marin County Smash-and-Grab Robbery Suspects Arrested

Two suspects involved in a smash-and-grab robbery on a vehicle in Marin County have been arrested, following a three-month investigation by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred on April 20 at around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and La Cuesta Drive in Greenbrae. The victim was sitting in their vehicle at a red light when their rear window was smashed in, and their belongings were stolen through the broken window. In response, the victim reversed their vehicle into the suspect.

Despite sustaining injuries, the suspect managed to escape in a getaway vehicle. Following a lengthy investigation, which involved several search warrants and assistance from neighboring agencies including the Berkeley Police Department, San Pablo Police Department, and Contra Costa Probation, the suspects, Joseph Cardenas and David Cardenas, both of San Pablo, were identified and arrested.
