A woman in Brentwood was arrested Tuesday morning in relation to the fatal stabbing of her husband, as reported by the Brentwood Police Department. The officers arrived around 10:15 a.m. on the 300 block of MacArthur Way to conduct a welfare check on a couple at a residence.
Upon arrival, the officers found the wife and evidence indicating a violent crime had recently taken place. The woman was detained and a search of the residence was conducted. A man, who had been stabbed multiple times, was found dead at the scene. According to the police, there were no other victims at the residence.
The deceased man and the woman were married and lived together at the residence. The Brentwood Police Department has declined to release the names of either party until the next of kin has been notified.
The woman is currently in custody and the police have stated that there is no known threat to public safety. The incident appears to have been isolated.
