On Tuesday night, a police chase in the North Bay led to the arrest of five individuals, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD). The vehicle involved in the chase was also linked to a burglary at a dispensary in Cotati the previous day.
The Cotati Police Department reported that the burglary occurred at around 4:30 a.m. Monday. Masked suspects entered the dispensary for approximately one minute and fled before police could arrive.
On Tuesday at about 10:10 p.m., an SRPD officer spotted the vehicle used in the burglary near Maple Avenue and South E Street. The car was determined to be stolen.
A traffic stop was conducted on Dutton Avenue and Sebastopol Road. After briefly slowing down, the car sped away going north on Dutton Avenue. The vehicle subsequently crashed at the intersection of North Dutton Avenue and Guerneville Road, after which five individuals exited the car and scattered.
Eventually, all five suspects were apprehended, comprising three juveniles and two adults identified as David Barrios and Natalia Gutierrez-Mena, both 18. The driver was a 16-year-old girl, and the remaining two suspects were 14 years old. All the suspects are residents of Santa Rosa.
