Three men have been arrested and charged with robbery after allegedly entering a business in downtown Los Angeles armed with a shotgun and handguns.
On July 25, around 5:15 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division responded to calls of an ongoing robbery on the 300 block of South Wall Street. The suspects, identified as 41-year-old Louis Peralta, 25-year-old Jacob Alarcon, and 44-year-old Damian Morales, had parked their vehicle near the entrance of the business and entered with guns drawn.
Once inside, the suspects approached the cash register and the back room of the establishment. The business owner was monitoring the situation via closed-circuit television and called 911.
Police arrived on the scene as the suspects were attempting to flee on foot. A perimeter was established, eventually leading to the capture of all three suspects. Recovered at the scene were three handguns and stolen property from the victim.
During the robbery, Morales was injured by a private security guard who used a stun gun on him. He was treated for his injuries at a local hospital before being released for booking.
