Los Angeles General Medical Center is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who has been receiving care at the hospital for four days but is unable to identify himself.
The man, believed to be in his 30s or 40s, was found on 6th Street in Los Angeles, although the hospital officials did not specify whether the location was East or West L.A. He stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds with a medium build, has light brown wavy hair, a black and gray beard, and hazel eyes. Notably, he has no identifiable features and no visible tattoos.
Due to privacy laws, the hospital cannot disclose the man’s current medical condition or the severity of his injuries. The hospital is urging anyone with information about this patient to contact Cesar Robles, a clinical social worker at Los Angeles General Medical Center Department of Social Work.
This situation underscores the challenges healthcare providers face when patients are unable to self-identify, and the crucial role the public can play in helping reunite these patients with their families or caregivers.
