The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) announced the arrest of Lynell Peterson, a 26-year-old man from Sacramento, on Wednesday for a 2022 San Francisco homicide.
The incident occurred on September 24, 2022, around 8 p.m., when SFPD responded to an aggravated assault report at the 5000 block of 3rd Street. Officers found an injured man on the ground who was later rushed to a hospital due to life-threatening injuries. The victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Following an investigation, Peterson was identified as the suspect, leading SFPD to obtain an arrest warrant. He was located and arrested on the 6200 block of Gloria Drive in Sacramento.
