A fire in a triplex located on the 2600 block of Dover Ave in San Pablo on Friday resulted in one individual being hospitalized and the death of a dog, as per reports from the Contra Costa Fire Protection District. The fire, described as a commercial structure fire, presented heavy smoke and flames emanating from the front of the building.
In the initial search of the scene, fire crews found a victim, performed CPR, and promptly transported them to Kaiser Permanente Richmond. The efforts of the fire crew were hampered by downed power lines in front of the building.
