Driver Crashes into Convenience Store, Fatally Striking Pedestrian

In a tragic incident in South L.A., a pedestrian entering a convenience store was fatally struck by a driver who crashed into the store. The driver was subsequently arrested, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. Sunday night at the 7-Eleven located at the intersection of West Century Boulevard and Figueroa Street. Officers nearby observed a woman driving in reverse and crashing into parked vehicles before she continued reversing into the convenience store, striking a pedestrian in the process.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was transported to a nearby hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

At this time, the LAPD has not confirmed whether the crash was intentional or if drugs or alcohol were involved. The specific charges against the driver are also yet to be released.
