Six Flags Magic Mountain is gearing up for a spooktacular celebration of Fright Fest’s 30th anniversary in 2023. The amusement park has announced a new lineup of haunted houses and scare zones that includes attractions themed after the popular horror film franchises “The Conjuring” and “SAW.”
The Fright Fest, which will run from September 8 through October 31, will feature eight haunted houses, seven scare zones, Halloween entertainment and performances, and, for the bravest of thrill-seekers, roller coaster rides in the dark.
The new haunted houses for 2023 include:
1. The Conjuring: Inspired by the film, guests are dared to enter the secluded Perron family farmhouse, haunted by sinister spirits.
2. SAW X: Based on the upcoming release from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, guests must attempt to survive Jigsaw’s terrifying traps in his most personal game yet.
3. Condemned House Party: A fan-favorite event from Scream Break, the party lives on in this haunted fraternity house.
4. City Under Siege: An expansion of one of the park’s most popular scare zones, where clowns have taken over the streets of DC UNIVERSE™.
In addition to the new attractions, fan-favorite haunted houses such as Willoughby’s Resurrected, Truth or Dare, Vault 666 Unlocked, Sewer of Souls, and Aftermath 2: Chaos Rising will be returning for 2023.
Also featuring will be a range of scare zones throughout the park, including Devil’s Triangle, CarnivHELL, The Deadzone, TERRORtory Twisted, Nightmares – A Twisted Fantasy, and Exile Hill.
A “spooktacular lineup of monstertainment” including Unleashed, Sliders of the Night, Invasion, and Spirits with Spirits will keep guests entertained.
Additionally, a family-friendly “Kids Boo Fest” will be available on Fridays through Sundays, offering a trick-or-treat trail in Bugs Bunny World, two new pint-sized mazes, and a festive ride on the Whistlestop train.
