Man with Gunshot Wound Found Dead in Vallejo Creek

The Vallejo Police Department is investigating a possible homicide after a man’s body was retrieved from a creek with a gunshot wound on Tuesday. Responding to a report of a man in the water, VPD officers arrived at the 2200 block of Sacramento Street at around 6:53 p.m. The man was pulled from Austin Creek, which runs past the location, and was declared dead at the scene.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances and motives surrounding the shooting. This incident marks the 13th homicide in the city for 2023.
