Armed Robbery at Celebrity Hotspot in West Hollywood

An armed robbery occurred at a well-known celebrity hotspot in West Hollywood early Thursday morning. Two patrons were robbed at gunpoint, and investigators are considering the possibility that the incident is connected to a similar robbery that occurred last month.

The robbery took place at about 12:20 a.m. at Craig’s on Melrose Avenue. According to Lt. Foster of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the two adult victims were approached by a robber wielding a semiautomatic gun. Craig’s is recognized as “one of the most celebrity-packed restaurants in Los Angeles” by The Infatuation.

Another man, also armed with a semiautomatic gun, demanded a watch from one of the victims while the first robber demanded jewelry. The two robbers then escaped in a white sedan driven by a third man, as reported by Lt. Foster.

No injuries were reported in the course of the robbery. Investigators, noting the number of perpetrators involved and the weapons used, believe that these robbers may be the same individuals involved in a similar crime that took place on July 19 in West Hollywood. Confirmation of these suspicions is yet to be announced.

This case illustrates the ongoing threat of armed robbery, even in areas frequented by high-profile individuals, and the continuous effort by law enforcement to ensure public safety.
