Efforts Underway to Control Fire at Sylmar Home

Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) crews are currently making efforts to extinguish a blaze at a Sylmar home. The fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday in the 13700 block of West Oscar Street.

The fire engulfed a one-story single-family home, and firefighters are now working to protect two additional houses that are being exposed to the flames. “Excessive storage outside of the home and heavy fire throughout the structure, including the attic, is extending to a garage at the rear,” LAFD reported in an alert.

No injuries have been reported as of now. This incident underscores the importance of fire safety measures and regular checks on property conditions to prevent such occurrences. The ongoing efforts of the LAFD serve as a reminder of the crucial role first responders play in ensuring community safety during emergencies.
