Three Arrested in Connection with Fatal Long Beach Shooting

In the wake of a fatal shooting that took place earlier this summer, Long Beach police have made arrests of three individuals. The incident, which occurred on June 16, resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man identified as David Nevarez, who was reportedly shot multiple times during a dispute.

Following a thorough investigation, 40-year-old Roland Barber was identified as a suspect in the killing. Barber had previously been arrested on June 29 in connection with a non-fatal shooting that took place on the same day. He has since been charged in the killing of Nevarez and is currently being held on a $3 million bail.

Last week, authorities also arrested 35-year-old Maytte Barber and 59-year-old Edward Wayne Williams in relation to the incident. Both individuals were booked on suspicion of accessory to murder and are being held on $1 million bail.

While it is believed that Nevarez and Barber were not acquainted, they were reportedly involved in a dispute that escalated into the fatal shooting. No further details about the incident or the ongoing investigation have been released at this time.

This case reinforces the importance of law enforcement and community cooperation in tackling violent crimes. It serves as a reminder that justice can be pursued, regardless of the time elapsed since the incident.
