A significant vehicle collision occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Fairfield, resulting in two people being taken to the hospital, according to the Fairfield Police Department. The two-car crash took place near Vanden Road and Leisure Town Road.
Following the incident, Vanden Road near Leisure Town was temporarily closed. It reopened around 2:30 p.m., as reported by the police. Both victims required assistance from fire crews to extricate them from their respective vehicles. Their injuries have been classified as “moderate.”
In addition to the Fairfield Police Department, Vacaville fire crews also responded at the scene. Despite the recent installation of an all-way stop sign near the scene of the accident, Fairfield police confirmed that the collision did not occur at this location.
