Peacocks on Fairfield property

Fairfield to Relocate Nuisance Peacocks

Residents of Fairfield have been dealing with an unusual nuisance: peacocks. The birds have reportedly been causing damage to cars and property, leading to numerous complaints at recent city council meetings.

In response to these grievances, Fairfield’s public works department will begin trapping the peacocks on Thursday. Once captured, the birds will be relocated to a farm in Yolo County.

The city intends to continue trapping these birds on a weekly basis until the issue is resolved and the peacocks no longer pose a problem to residents.

This case emphasizes the importance of effective animal control measures when wildlife begins to interfere with human habitation, and the importance of humane and ethical treatment of these creatures in the process.
