Parts of Sausalito are currently without power due to a car crash into a power pole on Wednesday, as reported by the Southern Marin Fire District. The outage has affected the area from Gate 5 Road to Nevada Street along Bridgeway.
Power and Gas Company, PGE&E, are on-site carrying out repair work. Nonetheless, early indications suggest that power may not be restored until the following day.
The crash has also caused street closures, with Coloma Street being closed off between Bridgeway and Gate 5 Road. However, Bridgeway remains open in both directions. PG&E water district crews are currently working on-site.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution, stop at all non-functioning traffic signals, and avoid the affected area if possible. Alternative routes to Highway 101 should be sought.
