Earthquakes are a common occurrence in California due to the state’s location along the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area with a high frequency of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. While minor quakes like this one often go unnoticed, they serve as a reminder of the importance of earthquake preparedness measures for residents in seismically active regions.
