An autonomous vehicle was part of a collision on Thursday night near Geary Boulevard and Gough Street, as reported by the San Francisco Police Department. At around 9:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a Cruise car being involved in a collision.
The Cruise car was heading southbound on Gough and attempted to make a left turn from the middle lane onto Geary, heading eastbound, according to the SFPD. The autonomous vehicle then crashed into another car that was driving in the left lane of Gough.

There were no reported injuries from this crash. KRON4 reached out to Cruise for comment but has yet to receive a response.
The SFPD stated, “Further investigation will be conducted by the appropriate California regulatory agencies charged with overseeing the deployment of autonomous vehicles.”
The collision remains an open investigation, according to the SFPD. The department is asking anyone with information about the incident to call the tip line at 415-575-4444 or to text a tip to TIP411, starting the message with “SFPD.”
