Strengthening Community Safety: Arrest Made in Attempted Vehicle Theft Case
In a commendable display of community cooperation and swift police action, the Alameda Police Department has successfully apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in an attempted vehicle theft and brandishing incident. This incident, which occurred on August 26 at around 5:45 p.m. on the 1100 block of College Avenue, sent shockwaves through our community. However, thanks to the vigilance of witnesses who filmed the incident, the suspect was identified and subsequently taken into custody.
Upon receiving reports of an attempted vehicle theft involving a firearm, Alameda police officers were quick to respond to the scene.
