The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the disturbing situation, which unfolded on the 4800 block of Old Redwood Highway in Larkfield. Maria Carmona, a 43-year-old resident of Susanville, CA, was apprehended and now faces serious charges.
At approximately 5 p.m., sheriff’s deputies rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a woman hurling wine bottles at vehicles. Tragically, one of the bottles struck a car, causing injuries to a child inside. Thankfully, the injuries were minor, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers that can arise from reckless actions.
Carmona managed to flee the scene before officers arrived, but she was later found. It is believed that she was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
