Last year’s ceremony honored the burial of 1,600 unclaimed remains of those who died in 2019. This year’s event marked the first time since the pandemic that the ceremony was held in-person and open to the public. A total of 75 people, including dignitaries, religious leaders, elected officials, and members of the media, attended the final send-off.
