60 Freeway Closed Amid Possible Shooting Investigation

An investigation into a possible shooting has led to the closure of the 60 Freeway in the Diamond Bar area. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that both directions of the freeway were closed around 11 p.m. Tuesday night following reports of a shooting near Diamond Bar Boulevard.

While it remains unclear if a shooting actually took place, the closure of the 60 transition roads at the 57 Freeway was necessary for officials to conduct their investigation. As a result, delays for westbound drivers were already stacking up by 4:30 a.m.

The duration of the freeway closure is currently uncertain. Authorities have suggested the 10 Freeway as the best alternate route for westbound drivers.

As of now, there’s no information available about potential injuries or if authorities are looking for any suspects. This development underlines the challenges that law enforcement agencies face in maintaining public safety on our highways, and the importance of public cooperation and patience during such investigations.
