Car Crash into Seal Beach Home Hospitalizes One

A person was hospitalized on Friday night after their vehicle crashed into a house in Seal Beach. The incident occurred around 9:31 p.m. on the 300 block of College Park Drive, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Upon arrival, authorities found an older vehicle that had completely smashed through the garage door of the residence. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle due to the considerable structural damage caused to the home.

Firefighters had to extricate the driver from the vehicle, which involved bringing in additional support beams due to the instability of the garage area.

The residents inside the home at the time of the incident were luckily unharmed and were promptly evacuated for their safety.

The driver was transported to a local hospital where they remain in stable condition. The cause of the collision is still unclear and is currently under investigation.
