A dramatic scene unfolded in Decatur Township, Pennsylvania, when a vehicle crashed into the second floor of a residence on Sunday. The incident, which took place on the 800 block of Alfarata Road, led to the driver being hospitalized.
At around 3:15 p.m., the Junction Fire Company was called to assist the Decatur Volunteer Fire Company in responding to the vehicle accident. Upon arrival, they found the car lodged in the second floor of the home, with the driver already removed from the vehicle.
The driver was transported to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital by Fame EMS for treatment of their injuries.
In the aftermath of the crash, fire crews worked to stabilize the home and helped the homeowners put up a tarp to protect from upcoming storms. Fire crews remained at the scene for approximately three hours to ensure safety and security.
