In an alarming incident, a Moreno Valley convenience store clerk was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is currently on the hunt for the perpetrator.
The employee, who works at a business located in the 24000 block of John F. Kennedy Drive, was held up around 4 a.m., according to officials. The location appears to correspond with a Circle K convenience store and gas station.
The clerk complied with the robber’s demands, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The robber then fled on foot, and no injuries were reported.
The suspected robber is described as a man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, with an athletic build. He was reportedly wearing dark clothing, white shoes, a hoodie pulled over his head, and a black face mask covering his face at the time of the robbery.
The suspect is still at large and considered to be armed and dangerous.
