In a horrifying incident in Ranchos Palos Verdes, detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a double homicide after the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered in a car early Monday morning. The incident was reported around 6:30 a.m. on the 7000 block of Palos Verdes Drive, where the bullet-riddled Subaru was parked at Pelican Cove Park.
The victims, believed to be in their 30s, were found by a hiker who called 911. Both had suffered gunshot wounds. The male victim has been identified by friends and neighbors as Jorge Ramos.
Ramos, a resident of Willowbrook, was remembered by his community as a car enthusiast. Loved ones have been leaving condolences on his Instagram page. However, neither his friends, neighbors, nor his father are aware of the female victim’s identity.
The authorities are treating the fatal shooting as a targeted attack and are appealing to the public for any information.
