Tragedy struck on Interstate 15 near State Route 52 when a motorist driving a Honda Civic crashed into a guardrail.
The accident occurred just before 7 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver was heading south on I-15 just north of State Route 52 when the crash happened.
Unfortunately, the driver did not survive the accident. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the deceased or the cause of the accident. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
