Early Morning Shooting Results in Woman’s Death in Pasadena

A woman was shot and killed following a reported altercation at an apartment complex in Pasadena early Tuesday morning. The Pasadena Police Department is currently investigating the case.

Officers arrived at an apartment complex on the 2000 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue around 1:11 a.m., responding to a call about a fight and subsequent shots fired.

At the scene, authorities found a 34-year-old woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Following a search of the same apartment complex, police arrested a 54-year-old resident of Pasadena, who is the suspect in the case. Police have chosen to withhold further details about the suspect due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

A search warrant was served during the investigation, and a firearm was recovered.
