Fatal Rollover Crash on Hwy 101 Results in One Death

A rollover crash on Highway 101 in Healdsburg left one woman dead and another critically injured on Friday night. The incident occurred around 7:25 p.m., when a Toyota Camry overturned on the southbound portion of the highway just south of Old Redwood Highway.

For reasons yet to be determined, the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered towards the center median. Despite attempting to correct the course, the car continued out of control and veered across both lanes. The driver and her passenger, both women, were ejected from the vehicle as it rolled off the roadway. Both occupants are believed to have not been wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.

This incident highlights the importance of road safety measures, including the use of seatbelts, to prevent serious injuries or fatalities in the event of a crash.
