A woman was struck and killed by a train in Gilroy, California, on Tuesday morning, according to the Gilroy Police Department.
The police were alerted to the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Leavesley Road and Monterey Road, at approximately 8:45 a.m. Although first responders attempted life-saving measures, the victim was declared dead at the scene.
