Holding Victims at Gunpoint: NOS Tanks Stolen in Shocking Incident In a harrowing incident that highlights the dangers of criminal activity, a 24-year-old man and two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly holding victims at gunpoint and stealing NOS tanks. The Chino Hills Police Department released a press statement detailing the incident that occurred on November 26th. According to the statement, the male and female victims purchased two tanks of nitrous oxide from JZ Motorsport in La Puente. After leaving the store, they traveled to the 15100 block of Fairfield Rancho Road in Chino Hills. However, they were soon confronted by three suspects who had followed them in a black Acura from JZ Motorsports. As the victims were removing the tanks from a duffle bag in the backseat of their car, two male Hispanic juveniles, aged 15 and 17, approached them. To their shock and terror, the suspects brandished a semi-automatic pistol. A struggle ensued among all parties involved. During the struggle, the male victim wrestled with the 15-year-old suspect, causing him to drop the pistol. In an attempt to defend themselves, the female victim tried to pick up the pistol. Unfortunately, the 17-year-old suspect managed to seize the weapon before she could do so. Pointing the pistol at the victims, the teenager then took the duffle bag containing the NOS tanks. Four days later, the black Acura was stopped by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies in La Puente. Inside the vehicle were the two teenagers and 24-year-old Brian Avila of El Monte. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies took over the investigation and executed a search warrant on Avila’s vehicle. During the search, they discovered a NOS tank and an unregistered .357 semi-automatic pistol. As a result, Avila and the two teens were arrested for robbery. They have been booked at the West Valley Detention Center and San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall, respectively. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of personal safety and awareness.
