In less than an hour, over 90 firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department, the L.A. County Fire Department, and the Beverly Hills Fire Department extinguished the flames.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) praised the contribution of proper brush clearance to the successful defense of the threatened homes. They stated, “The four homes which were threatened were successfully defended thanks to proper brush clearance which provided the defensible space the firefighters needed.”

Traffic on Laurel Canyon Boulevard is expected to remain affected as cleanup operations continue throughout the afternoon. There were no reported injuries among the firefighters.
