A man tragically died following a crash in Long Beach on Friday, during which he was ejected from his vehicle. Long Beach police responded to reports of a traffic collision near 6th Street and Santiago Avenue, where they found the victim.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the 63-year-old driver of a 2021 Nissan Rogue was driving on the wrong side of Santiago Avenue when he struck a parked car head-on. The impact resulted in the driver being ejected from his vehicle, which subsequently rolled into the front yard of a nearby residence.
Following the accident, the driver was transported to a local hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Police detectives believe that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
