Man Found Dead with Puncture Wounds in Ocean Off Ventura County

In a disturbing revelation, the body of a Los Angeles man was pulled from the ocean off Point Mugu in Ventura County with “puncture wounds” to his torso. The victim, 51-year-old Jason Jennings, was found unresponsive in the water on Saturday afternoon.

Fire crews and personnel from the Naval base responded to a report of a person in the water at Family Beach around 1 p.m. The beach is situated on Naval Base Ventura County property.

Upon retrieving Jennings from the ocean, he was pronounced dead. Paramedics then discovered multiple “puncture wounds” to his torso. Given the unusual circumstances surrounding Jennings’ death, it has been classified as suspicious.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Bureau has launched an investigation into the incident. Anyone with information relating to Jennings’ death is being encouraged to contact the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
