Motorcycle Passenger Dies in Union City Collision

In a tragic accident in Union City, the passenger of a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a van on Monday afternoon, according to the Union City Police Department.

The collision took place just before 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of Whipple Road. Officers responded to the scene involving a van and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver had a passenger at the time of the collision.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle driver, however, was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police during the investigation. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.

The UCPD’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating the incident. The case underlines the danger posed by motorcycle-involved collisions and the critical need for all road users to practice safe driving to prevent such tragedies.
