The Los Angeles Police Department is on the hunt for a motorist who was involved in a hit-and-run incident with a motorcyclist in the Historic South-Central neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
The incident unfolded around 11:20 a.m. on June 26 when two 2021-22 silver Honda Accords were traveling south on Grand Avenue near 37th Street. One of the Hondas tried to execute a U-turn, colliding with a motorcyclist travelling north on Grand Avenue in the process. The Honda then lost control and crashed into another car, according to the LAPD.
Following the collision, the Honda, which had significant front-end and right-side damage, fled the scene. It was last seen heading north on Grand Avenue, east on Jefferson Boulevard, and south on Hill Street.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
