Motorcyclist Killed in Riverside Multi-Vehicle Crash

A tragic accident occurred in Riverside on Tuesday, claiming the life of a man involved in a three-vehicle crash. The crash, which occurred on the westbound 91 Freeway just west of Cridge Street around 5:27 p.m., involved a motorcyclist, a semi-truck, and an Acura TSX.

According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was riding a 2020 Kawasaki Ninja and was splitting lanes when the driver of the Acura made an abrupt lane change, colliding with the motorcycle. This collision sent the motorcyclist into the path of a semi-truck, which struck him as well. Sadly, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the crash, the Acura driver left the scene, continuing westbound on State Route 91. Investigative efforts by the authorities led to the location of the Acura and identification of the driver, a juvenile, involved in the crash. The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing. This incident underscores the importance of safe driving practices and the dire consequences of hit-and-run incidents.
