Multiple LA Food Trucks Robbed at Gunpoint

Late Wednesday night, at least five food trucks and taco stands in downtown Los Angeles, East Hollywood, and Echo Park, fell victim to armed robberies.

The robberies occurred between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, with one reported location being at 9th Street and Broadway downtown, according to Ricardo Antonio of Verdaderos Crazy Tacos.

Antonio revealed that his employees were held at gunpoint during the robbery. The culprits produced two guns, stole all available cash and personal items, including an employee’s wallet, before fleeing the scene. The thieves reportedly made off with at least $600.

There were four individuals involved in the crime, including three robbers and a driver, who escaped in a newer white Honda Civic.

Police are of the belief that the same group of people, who were dressed in black, are responsible for all the robbery incidents. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in any of the robberies.
