Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Recalled Over Wood Contamination

Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall for a certain quantity of its Toll House chocolate chip cookie dough “break and bake” bars (16.5 ounces) due to the possible presence of wood pieces. The product batches in question were produced on April 24 and April 25, 2023, with best-by dates of August 22 or October 23, 2023.

The recall was initiated after a few consumers reported finding wood pieces in the product. However, no related illnesses or injuries have been reported so far, according to Nestlé USA.

The affected product batch numbers are 311457531K and 311557534K. Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are advised to return them to their place of purchase for a replacement or refund.

Nestlé is currently working with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on this recall and assures that it is confident of this being an isolated issue and that measures have been taken to address it.
