Oakland Resident Exchanges Gunfire with Home Invasion Suspects

A home invasion in Oakland took a dramatic turn when the resident engaged in a gunfire exchange with two armed suspects. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 27, around 2 a.m., when the two individuals forcibly entered a residence on the 11100 block of Ettrick Street.

According to the Oakland Police Department, the invaders began searching the house, which was occupied by a single resident. Feeling threatened for their safety, the resident fired a round at one of the intruders.

In response, the two suspects fired multiple rounds back at the resident before fleeing the scene. Incredibly, no injuries were reported from this dangerous encounter.
