The Oxnard Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in finding the individual who fatally shot a man early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 12:40 a.m., the police responded to a shooting report. Upon arriving at the 1600 block of East First Street, they discovered 28-year-old Diego Espinoza with multiple gunshot wounds.
Espinoza was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries around 6:40 a.m.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with the police stating that “there is no clear motive for the shooting.”
Oxnard city officials are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the shooter’s arrest and conviction.
