Pedestrian Fatality Triggers SigAlert on 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks

A pedestrian was tragically killed after being hit by a vehicle on the 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks on Thursday morning. The collision occurred just before 7:15 a.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway at Ventura Boulevard, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Following the incident, the victim’s body was found on the freeway, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed. In response to the accident, a SigAlert was issued for lanes No. 5 and No. 6, as well as the off-ramp, to facilitate the CHP’s investigation.

Authorities announced that the lanes will remain closed for an undetermined duration. As of now, no further information about the victim or the vehicle and its driver has been released.
