The Pleasanton Police Department (PPD) reported the discovery of around $10,000 worth of stolen goods following a car chase on Monday. The stolen items, including tools and medical equipment, were found in the trunk of the suspect’s vehicle.
The incident reportedly began early Monday morning when a resident witnessed two suspects breaking into a truck and stealing tools. The suspects were then seen fleeing the scene in a Dodge Charger.
Officers located the suspects speeding on Hopyard Road, which led to a car chase onto I-580 westbound. However, the pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle crashed near Eden Canyon Road. Two unidentified suspects managed to escape on foot and evade police.
The investigation is ongoing, but no suspect descriptions have been released at this time. This incident underscores the challenges law enforcement faces in combating property crime, and the importance of public vigilance in reporting suspicious activities.
