Police Tape at Crime Scene

Police Search Las Vegas Home in Tupac Shakur Case

On Monday, as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Tupac Shakur, the Las Vegas Metro Police conducted a search at a home in Henderson, near Interstate 11 and Wagon Wheel Drive, as confirmed to Nexstar’s KLAS by the police.

Tupac Shakur was shot and killed just a block away from the Las Vegas Strip in September 1996, a crime that remains unsolved to this day.

As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made in connection with the search, and the police offered no additional comment.

Last year, two Las Vegas-based podcasts announced a combined $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Shakur’s killer.

Shakur was only 25 when he was killed in a drive-by shooting just off the Las Vegas Strip on September 7, 1996. He had just left a Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand Plaza when he was hit by four bullets at an intersection. He succumbed to his injuries six days later in the hospital.

This case, still active more than two decades later, underscores the lengths that law enforcement will go to solve high-profile crimes. It also serves as a reminder of the enduring impact and public interest in the life and death of Tupac Shakur.
