Reward Offered for Smash-and-Grab Robbers in La Verne

In a bid to capture suspects connected to a smash-and-grab robbery in La Verne, a $20,000 reward has been proposed. The robbers made away with jewelry worth $300,000 from Rodeo Jewelers located on the 1500 block of Foothill Boulevard.

The robbery occurred on July 1, when four men drove through the entrance of the jewelry store around 12:16 p.m. The suspects armed with hammers smashed display cases, grabbed handfuls of jewelry and luxury watches, and loaded them into large bags. During the robbery, one of the suspects knocked the store owner in the head twice with a chair.

The La Verne City Council and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors are each offering a reward of $10,000 for information that leads to the suspects’ arrest and conviction.

Following the robbery, the suspects escaped in a getaway car parked in the store’s parking lot. The car is described as a 2013-1025 black Nissan Altima sedan with custom black and chrome rims.

According to a friend of the store owner, the jewelry store had previously been targeted. La Verne police, community members, and local authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to help solve this blatant crime and hold the perpetrators accountable.
